This was our fifth cruise on Celebrity and our third on the Equinox. We both agreed that the quality of service , the quality of food, and the cleanliness has gone somewhat downhill.
The customer service staff seemed disinterested and stern. Even the Future Cruise representative was lackluster. She did make me want to book a future cruise on the ship.
The food in the main restaurant , ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted an eastern Caribbean and southern to islands we have yet to explore and found this 14 day cruise.
Little did we know that there is nothing for entertainment on this ship for anyone under the age of 60!!!
The music is ideal for big bands, waltz and such which were popular in the 40's and 50's!
Then we upgraded to get the water package as my wife needs ...
We chose this for a special birthday and booked it nearly 2 years in advance. From the moment we boarded the ship we were taken care of, every member of staff we came into contact with were very professional and couldn’t do enough for us. We had a concierge cabin on deck 10 very central and nice cabin with plenty of storage and a good balcony. The food in the main dining room was very good we ate ...
From the moment we boarded and were handed a glass of fizz, to the very end when Captain Leo was there to bid all his guests farewell, we could not fault anything. We were in stateroom 9103 and our attendant was called Hamilton. He was wonderful. Although we were never in need of anything, he always asked if everything was ok for us. There first thing in the morning and last thing at night. ...
We have sailed this route twice before, so the excursions were of little interest to us. The ports offered free Wi-Fi and that was nice. It was a little hotter than we remembered, but the weather for the entire 2 weeks was sunny and a little breezy.
The water was so calm that we couldn't even tell that we were moving. Well that - AND the fact that we only had to sail a short distance ...
We sailed this same itinerary last year and loved it so much that we booked again.
This year we found some deficiencies in several areas that will likely see us trying something different for our Vacation dollar and likely try another cruise line upon our next cruise.
On the positive side:
We loved the itinerary and our shore excursions . Why Celebrity would cut their most popular ...
I agree that there was room to improve in areas. The itinerary was great and my cabin steward excellent, the food was good but not excellent , I ate in the café did not go to dining rooms or specialty. The shops and the personnel in the shops were snobbish, I am not a dressy dresser and felt like I was looked down upon every time I went to shop. The casino was horrible and extremely noisy and ...
We are long time Celebrity cruisers. This was our first time aboard Eclipse. We found the staff to be very attentive from the housekeeping team through the restaurant folks. Virtually every crew member offered a “good morning, good afternoon “ etc as appropriate whenever they saw us. Captain Leo was terrific. CD Eddie was very knowledgeable and offered his insight into destinations. The shows were ...
My wife and I sailed, again, on the Eclipse, out of Miami. We arrived at the cruise terminal at 11:30AM and embarkation was a breeze. We proceeded to the Ocean Grille because we could not see our room until 1:00PM. After lunch and a short walk around the ship we arrived at our cabin and opened the door. OH NO !! The positioning of the room was not what we were told, by Celebrity, and would ...
This cruise has become an annual "get away from the snow" event. I guess it'll be our last one for 14 nights so we are joining a lot of other disappointed cruisers who have become spoiled. It'll be hard to replace, impossible on Celebrity but we are booked for a 12 night Med. cruise this September on Eclipse and with Captain Leo.
I recently became on the the 15 or 20 percent of the population ...
