This 26 night cruise started in Cape Town and was to end in Dubai. Sadly Corona Virus decided to intervene which resulted in the cruise missing many ports of call and a premature ending in Muscat which was not a planned port of call. Overall a very enjoyable cruise.
What we like about Azamara ....the friendly crew/ officers, the small ship atmosphere, the food, the Living Room and The Den with good live music....it was all there on this South Africa Intensive itinerary.

Overall, we experienced a very good cruise, and would definitely sail with Azamara again. This was our first voyage with Azamara, and we have previously sailed with Windstar, as well as Carnival, and NCL (never will go back to a large ship like those again!

We chose this cruise as a relaxing way to get home from South Africa.
The ship gave a grand impression with wood paneling a feature. It appeared well maintained. For those who get sea sick, there was quite a bit of movement, even in relatively calm seas.

This was our first cruise in our lives.
In a way we were very impressed but looking deeper under the surface MSC has lots of space to improve their service delivery.

I embarked from Cape Town and unfortunately had a bit of a tough time with the weather so our cruise was delayed by two days. This however is not anyone's fault and totally understand MSC's reasoning for not embarking on the 24th. We only embarked the 26th January. Embarkation is a very long and tedious process. Embarkation was a disastrous experience. There must a way to divide the passengers into groups with different time slots. It will definitely prevent queuing for more than two and a half hours. Some of the elderly people did find difficult to stand that long.
