A great world cruise

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

Let’s start with a disclaimer. We are strong Seabourn advocates. We have sailed on Seabourn for years and have spent more than 500 nights aboard Seabourn Ships. That being said, this review will be honest and we will share with you the good and fair on our trip. You will notice we did not use the word “bad”. The reason for us not using this word, is that we have had no bad experiences on this ...

My husband and I chose this Azamara Journey West Africa cruise starting on 4th March 2023 from Cape Town to Walvis Bay Namibia, Luanda Angola, Takoradi Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira and Lisbon on account of the stops in the African ports. We have sailed a lot with other cruise companies like Holland America, Princess, Celebrity and Norwegian but this was our ...

Review for a Africa Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This cruise was a treat for a special occasion. All of Cunard's advertising exudes 'Luxury and Glamour'. We did not know that we had paid all that money to join the last leg of around the world cruise for a 'don't care home'!! Our checkin and boarding was a disaster as we were checked into the room I had booked, but in some one else's name! We subsequently were hawked about a couple of floors ...

Wonderful relaxing cruise

We joined Queen Elizabeth on the 20th April in Cape Town. We had travelled on quite a few cruises on Queen Mary, but wow we were blown away by Queen Elizabeth. From the moment we stepped aboard, our holiday began and it was wonderful the entire journey. From the food in the Lido to the Brittannia, we could not have asked for more. The shows were wonderful, with the exception of one show. ...

The itinerary was the most appealing factor.a chance to go to Okinowa,Egypt, Taiwan and Brunei very juicy UnfortunatelyCunard cancelled all four and a very short time before we sailed Christmas Eve we received the email This is one big con trick and there should be a fraud investigation Will send further reports as an update each month Long journey to board at. soon ,v.tired ...

Voyage Up the West Coast of Africa

Review for a Africa Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

After a deplorable embarkation in Cape Town, things got better. This was our fourth time on the QMII and we will certainly return, especially for crossings. We love, love, love the interior of the QMII, and were luxuriously at home in many of the public areas, especially the Chart Room and Commodore Club. We met many friendly and charming fellow passengers, got involved in the usual activities, ...

Wonderful first voyage

Review for a Africa Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

This I think was our one and only voyage so we were lucky it was on QM2 from Cape Town to Southampton. It was fifteen days of luxury. Our cabin 12006 was super, very comfortable and conveniently situated. We could keep a watch on the bridge from our balcony and it was a very short walk to the lifts which whisked us down to the gym, the library or the spa. The small covered pool is on deck 12 so ...

Interesting Experience

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

This was our first time on Cunard. We embarked the QM2 in Cape Town which was shambles due to large number os people embarking and a colour blind co-ordinator. We were offered tea, coffee & biscuits but some lunch would have been nice, even if only a sandwich. The ship itself is a bit tired but everything was clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were cheerful, helpful and ...

African Adventure

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Silver Wind

We have cruised fairly extensively for nearly 20 years but this was the smallest ship we have experienced. We arranged our own travel to Capetown as Silversea had used up all their "block" before we booked. We stayed one night at the Table Bay Hotel and would recommend it very happily. Embarcation was a very simple matter - taxi from the hotel - 5 minutes to the ship and abouit another 5 minutes ...

We chose this cruise strictly for itinerary. Our whole vacation, taking 3 months, included Seabourn Quest Fort Lauderdale to Cape Town, 2 weeks in South Africa and Zambia with Kensington Tours, this cruise up the coast to Gran Canaria, ferry service to Tenerife, flight to Malaga, and the container ship Coral to Savannah! This cruise was simply the best way we could find to get from Cape Town to ...
