Fantastic ship—unique experience

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Royal Clipper

The Royal Clipper is like no other cruise ship—you sail on her for the experience of being on the world’s largest active sailing ship. Where you go is almost incidental. It is like a very large, traditionally outfitted yacht. Lots of brass and wood, and quite elegant. We were on the Cannes-Lisbon cruise. It was our second cruise on the RC (there are many repeat customers—over half on our cruise ...

I have always wanted to go to France and see both the countryside and the city but didn't think it's was possible until my boyfriend found this cruise on Avalon. It was wonderful. Everyplace we went there was something interesting to see and do (I'm a bit of history bluff and France has a huge history that goes back 1000s of years). With about 200 passengers, a 3rd from the US and the rest from Europe mainly, it was easy and comfortable meeting each other especially ...

My Experience on the Star Flyer I’m surprised by the tenor of the reviews here. We just returned from a 7-day cruise on the Star Flyer, where we had a wonderful time. Overall The ship is a working sailing vessel and, as such, provides a different experience than the typical ‘big ship cruise’. There is no casino, exercise room or spa, and the maximum number of passengers on board is only ...

Cruise went from Palma to Cannes, Rome, Sicily and Florence. I will begin with our only criticism which is that the drinks were very expensive, don't buy cans of Fosters they are $13 dollars each, we had 2 children with us and would strongly recommend the kids soda package. We didn't buy the adult packages as we don't drink very much alcohol. The food was lovely with the option of fine dining in ...
