This cruise was back to back around South America and thru the Panama Canal on to Ft. Lauderdale. We went to several countries and seen everything from desert to glaciers. Amazing views and narrated thru the Panama Canal. A must try was the Pisco sour. The meals on this ship were excellent, and a large selection of dishes. Anything you wanted you can ask for within reason. The shows on this ...

This was the second phase of a back to back. Towards the tail end of the cruise, I contacted a stomach virus from the ship. I believed it was not noro virus as there was no vomiting or other symptoms that accompany this illness. On the last night of the March 4th cruise I had blood in my stool, so I decided it would be best to go down to see the ship's medical staff in morning. The doctor ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to experience the beauty of South America and thought that this ship could take us there consistent with the stated itinerary. But this is where the old saying, "believe half of what you see..." Celebrity forgot to tell its passengers BEFORE boarding that they were having issues with the propulsion system of the ship and, as a result, times in ports were ...

food, as always, was very good on Celebrity, and our cabin steward and waiters were outstanding. The South American ports promised to be quite interesting, but we skipped one, never did cruise through the Chilean fjords, and our time in Puerto Montt was so abbreviated by very late arrival, that shore excursions were cut very short or cancelled because several were 6 to 8 hours long and would have ...

We chose this cruise because of the culture, wildlife, and scenery, and we were not disappointed. The ship is showing a little wear, but it didn't bother us because it was always kept spotless. The service was superb, and the food excellent, as you would expect from Celebrity. We enjoyed tie entertainment and all the Celebrity Life activities, but we were completely blown away by Mickey Live, ...

We chose this cruise to experience some latin flavour and of coarse Cape Horn... a Magellan dream. The facts are: Buenos Aris port where the ship docked for two days is awful. Shipping containers, strattle-carriers, trucks constantly beeping, jackhammers, noisy port. The ship was sandwiched between mountains of shipping containers, affording the view. One could literally taste the pollution, ...

This was part one of a Back to back cruise. We flew in to Buenos Aires a week early so that we could see Iguazu Falls. After all, if you are traveling this far, might as well see other spots. We got a great rate (Premier Class) on Aero Mexico from Orlando to Mexico City to Buenos Aires. A word of caution: I booked the flight online properly, and when I did a periodic check to make sure it ...

Was going to South America ports we wanted to see. Production shows were some of the best we have seen in 35 cruises. The cast gives 110% every minute of the shows. You won't think it possible to move at that fast a pace for a full hour, but they do, and they will be waiting for you at the entrance to the theater after the show to greet you. The cruise director doesn't have the staff do all the ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 60s

This was supposed to be a trip of a life time, booked over 2 years ago. But its prove to be anything but. We were notified 5 days before departure that "due to a technical issue with the ship's propulsion system, as a precaution, we will have to reduce our maximum speed by a few knots". This meant they cancelled the stop to Puerto Madryn (penguins). We received the princely sum of £131 ...

First of all, for the folks on the Jan. Cruise. I get it. I would have been disappointed as well. But I can only speak of the Feb Cruise. We were warned in advance to the propulsion problems. It had virtually no affect on the cruise. Top speed was 20 mph and we got everywhere on time. As smooth as any cruise I have been on. Were told in advance that we would get a refund for Puerto Madryn ...
