"This was our second cruise with Markus and it was great to see him again and talk about their wonderful wines. We had to show our negative test prior to boarding and then we tested again at the start of the second leg of our cruise...."Read More

Excellent Return to Sailing 18 Night Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We were a bit nervous when we learned that our 18 night cruise on the Quest was the first sailing since covid shutdown. However, Seabourn staff did a wonderful job and most things seemed "back to normal". We sailed from Barcelona to Ravenna (a port 2 hour included bus ride from Venice) as large ships can no longer dock in Venice. There was some pre-cruise confusion on check-in, ship board ...

This was my fourth Seabourn (SB) cruise, and DH’s second, with one prior on the Quest summer 2016 we both shared. We have done a dozen cruises on luxury lines, so the review below compares this cruise with prior experiences, and provides some guidance for newbies contemplating taking a SB cruise for the first time. We also did a detailed semi-live blog during the cruise, with photos, on the ...

After sailing across the Atlantic from Fort Lauderdale (on another cruise line to escape flying!) we stayed one day at the Eurostar Grande Marina right at the port. The next morning we watched from our window as the Quest pulled up right beside the hotel. When we were ready to go to the small terminal, the bell man took our bags across the way!! What convenience. Boarding was easy and since we ...

Every once in awhile, the stars all come together perfectly: on this cruise that is exactly what happened. The itinerary was exceptional: Lisbon, Rouen (Paris) overnight, Amsterdam, Antwerp (Bruges), Gibraltar, Kiel Canal (a day of river cruising), Porto, Cherboug, A Courna, and more. Every port was inviting, every day on board the ship was something to behold. We met so many wonderful passengers, ...

My husband and I were on the Seabourn Quest - April 29- May 13- Gems of Western Europe- 14 day cruise. It was one of the most amazing trips we have ever taken! This was our first cruise with Seabourn. It exceeded our expectations! By the 2nd day we were greeted by all the staff by our names. We had previously sailed on Silversea three times. We were always told Seabourn is a little better than ...

The Cruise .. We arrived at the terminal at about noon .. saw the luggage whisked away and took a seat. I suppose that there would have been about 100 passengers already there [ships accommodates 450] and boarding commenced at 12:15. I had seen some comments on CC Boards about early boarding and by 12:30 we were guided to the Collonade Restaurant for lunch, hand luggage stowed temporarily, until ...

We boarded the Seabourn Quest in Barcelona on October 26. This was our 1st Seabourn cruise. We had previously sailed on many cruises on the "mass market” lines and had one Regent voyage about 3 years ago. We spent 18 days on the Quest ending our cruise in Rio. The following are my impressions of the voyage and ship. From the moment we checked in we felt this cruise would be an exceptional one and ...

Having experienced indifferent/poor service and food on Silverseas Shadow, I am very very pleased to report that Seabourn Quest has restored our confidence in 6 star cruising. Having enjoyed 5 Seabourn cruises in the last 8 years we were worried that standards might have slipped. Happily this wasn't the case - our 10 day cruise in the Med was excellent (though two of the ports were less than ...

We only wished the cruise had been longer! The Quest met and exceeded our expectations. We love to be on the water having owned boats for years. The 'everything included' mode of the cruise made for complete relaxation - we struggled to spend our on board credit. Had to visit the shop on the last night to spend the remaining cash. The food was delicious, all the staff provided A1 service, our ...

SKIMPING AROUND THE EDGES...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Quest

We have sailed with Seabourn on three occasions now and we really felt that there a definite skimping around the edges with regards to a few things. Firstly, the food seems to have dropped in both quality and choice. Many of the choices in the evening were variations on the same theme as the previous evenings. The food in the restaurant was often lukewarm. The best food we had in the evenings was ...
