RC was too busy promoting Utopia to care about Serenade passegers.

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

I booked this cruise with my 23 year old daughter for a mother/daughter trip. We booked Serenade due to the itinerary meeting our needs. We previously sailed RC as a family on the Oasis and Freedom. We loved both of the previous cruises. I was a bit hesitant booking such a small ship but figured it was only 5 days and would be great regardless of size. Embarkation was wonderful. We were on the ...

Just got back from Rome after a wonderful cruise onboard Serenade. Yes, this is my first Review on cc, and No English is not my first language hope u all understand :-) We were travelling as a Group of four adults (28-32 years old) and my 2,5 year old son. The reason for picking this cruise was the convenience of a 3h non stop flight, travelling with Little ones can be hard sometimes! We had a ...

What an amazing trip. The itinerary was the reason we booked this voyage - with ports including Cannes, Florence, Rome, Athens, Santorini, Kudasi, and Salerno. And we were not disappointed. But even the sea days had exciting unexpected perks. We sailed past the volcanic island of Stromboli, which has been in a constant state of eruption for 2000 years, and the captain took us close to watch lava ...

Excellend service but a lot of corners are being cut over the years

Let me start by saying that we loved to cruise with Royal Carribean (7 years already) and did exactly the same trip with the same ship 2 years ago before the refresh of the ship. Over the years we have noticed that the benefits and extra's you get on Royal Carribean are going downwards every year. A few years ago there was a chocolate fontain with strawberries for example which is gone. The ...

Family just finished a wonderful (first ever) cruise- sailed on Aug 3 from Barcelona. Ports of call ideal, excursion tours well organized and food good- all fresh, plenty of variety and made on board. We loved it! Staff very professional. The ship very comfortable and clean!- a nice size that we were able to negotiate quickly. The entertainment was also good. Bravo to Mercedes, the cruise ...

My First Cruise & Very Disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

I've just come back from a 12 night Royal Carribean Mediterranean cruise and I would never cruise again. For me the whole experience was overpriced, tacky and a rip off. As some of the other reviewer's comments have suggested, I found RC's approach to be totally mercinary - they sought to take extra money from clients at absolutely every opportunity. First, the good points: The ship was a ...

Our trip started by staying at the Silken Diagonal for two days in Barcelona, Spain prior to our departure. The hotel is very modern but small it's only made for two people so we had to have two rooms for a party of four. It was very central because you had the subway near and the Red Big Bus stops across the street too. The morning breakfast is included and it was buffet style. This reservation ...

Super Holiday

In brief our holiday on Serenade was perfect, from boarding to embarking. First Cruise ever. Had read many reviews before going so had an open mind but honest people who complain are truely nit picking. You spend $11,000 dollor and complain, as some previous reviews report, then well what can one say. Our Room was On floor 8, always clean and well attended twice a day without fail (thankyou ...

A great ship and lovely itinerary

Having never travelled with Royal Caribbean before and being a person who prefers smaller ships, I arrived with a relatively open mind, but with a splash of trepidation! Check in was swift and efficient, and we were able to board the ship before midday, and our stateroom was available to us at 1pm. First tick to RC! Our stateroom was well appointed, reasonable size, with plenty of storage, ...

About us: I was traveling with my husband. We are retired and our age group is early 60’s. This was our 8th cruise; our first time in Europe and our 2nd RCI cruise. Summary: Overall this cruise met all of our expectations. It was a wonderful trip and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was not the most relaxing cruise due to the itinerary; but we are so glad we were able to see what we did. The sea ...
