Such a disappointment after all the expectation.

We are not seasoned cruisers, but have really enjoyed three previous small ship cruises with Windstar. We were expecting to go up a notch in opting for Silversea, but were sadly disappointed. The one saving grace, was that all the front-facing bar, cleaning, catering and waiting staff were all fantastic, friendly and welcoming. However, that only demonstrated the contrast with the more senior ...

Our first cruise - Bali to Singapore The plus points Good food in Aqua restaurant Staff excellent One or two shows good Lectures good The negatives Cramped cabin - could barely get past end of bed Tiny balcony - oils only just get 2 chairs and a table on it Cramped bathroom - Overpriced excursions False excision descriptions - eg - “small group walking tour” was ...

We chose this cruise because having travelled extensively both by land and sea through Asia we hadn’t touched on Indonesia other than Borneo and the itinerary appealed to us. Embarkation was quick and efficient and we were able to access our stateroom immediately. The ship was lovely and very easy to negotiate our way around it. Public areas had lots of seating and were all aesthetically ...

This cruise was cancelled twice due to covid, but we finally got to do it in January. We embarked in Bali, and was very impressed with the organisation and friendliness of the staff. The cabin, balcony, and beds were comfortable, and adequate. The trips were quite expensive, and usually ended in a shopping experience! But that isn’t unusual. A couple of days into the cruise, we were ...

BENOA PORT EMBARKING:Waiting area perfect and covered but the cruise should ensure a plan B incase of crazy weather. We finally boarded right by the ship in sweltering heat where kids and elderly were having a heat stroke under no coverage with long cues until finally at the last minute Banoa port staff brought out seats and had celebrity staff giving out umbrellas. I travel to Bali alot and know ...

We’ve cruised on this ship before from HK to Singapore a few years ago and had an excellent holiday. We can’t believe how poor the bar service was on this trip. Same in the dining room lack of bodies. I was left a feedback form from the Hotel Director Vlado, in fact completed two but no response so herein lies the problem. One day I counted 9 people awaiting service by the pool bar with one ...

Just as introduction: I like Oceania's smaller ships a little bit better than their bigger ones, but mostly we choose by itinerary. We're Oceania regulars, but occasionally cruise on Viking Ocean, which we also love. We've also cruised about 4 times on other ships. We were happy to find that Oceania's quality had not gone down in the year plus it had been since we had last cruised. The ...

This 6 night cruise from Bali to Darwin was our 24th cruise with various Cruise Company’s. We had high (but not unrealistic) expectations for our 1st Seabourn cruise and the Sojourn excelled in every area. The Staff were the friendlies, whilst still being very professional, we have ever encountered. This made for a very relaxed and social atmosphere on board between the Staff and passengers. ...

It had the itinerary that I was interested in. My cabin mate and I were quarantined for 48hrs prior to reaching Honolulu and then advised that because I was still symptomatic we would continue to be isolated for another 48hrs and kept in isolation until I was no longer was symptomatic. She had no GI symptoms, only myself That was an unworkable option for me since I suffer from acute ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

The staff on Seabourn Odysey is extremely friendly, competent and helpful. The ship itself has many choices of places to spend your time, either alone or with others. The food is outstanding in all four restaurants with good choices and several opportunities to experience each of the venues. Restaurant 2 was particularly notable for its creative and excellent cuisine. Tours were comprehensive ...
