The Rhine river boat cruise was so enjoyable! We loved that we could see so many different places in one vacation. It was helpful that all the excursions were planned out for you. We did purchase the extra excursion to the WWll museum. So glad we did!
We met so many people from all over. It was fun to get to know them. We liked that there were less than 200 passengers. It made it very ...
The region is gorgeous, the wines fantastic, the ship was truly excellent, staff and captain over the top, the best ever. As always there were daily excursions and briefings on the next days port(s). Evening wine tastings were so much fun. Hint: the wineries you go to generally do not ship to the USA. Buy a few bottles of something and take them on board with you to enjoy at dinner or in the ...
We did our due diligence and Viking rated high on all levels. I also liked the option of having a dedicated travel phone contact.
The orginzination was excellent and much appreciated as this was our first River Cruise.
The cabin was great. Well laid out. Nice. The fixtures served us well. The heated floor in the bathroom was a nice touch! We loved the Veranda Balcony.
The Crew was top ...
This cruise had all the elements we were looking to achieve as an experience that led to our commitment/marriage in Paris at the end of our trip.
The Swiss pre cruise was a memorable experience and I would highly recommend it.
The excursions, both included and addons, were all excellent and really make the river cruise the valuable experience we expected.
The customer service. cabin, ...
This was a family vacation. Eight family members went with ages ranging from 70 to 40. The cruise included interesting events for all age groups. The option of tours covered all of our age groups -- or you felt comfortable NOT taking a tour that day and just staying on board the ship.I only wish that the ship could be docked in an area where you could just leave and explore the town close to the ...
Truly, truly beyond expectation. Everything was expertly handled; ship, cabin (spent very little in), food, leisure time, staff was very professional, but friendly. One morning I looked out the window at breakfast and our wonderful captain was carrying out the garage. Employees worked as a team from all appearances. The inclusive tours were wonderful.
I am a widow and have no one to travel ...
Everything was great, the service, food, excursions. We would leave for breakfast and our room would always be clean when we got back to our room after breakfast. I can not say enough good things about this cruise. We would go in a heart beat again. Worth the price without a doubt. I think because there was only 185 people on the ship, it makes the service very personal. Everyone was there to ...
From the time we landed in Amsterdam we were treated with professionalism. We explored Amsterdam and was able to soak in some of the culture there.
The food was excellent on our ship especially breakfast, The wait staff was very nice. Dinner time was a way to meet different people from all over the USA.
We will definitely be going on another Viking cruise.
The cabins are a little small ...
We went on this cruise on the recommendation of close friends (all of us in our early 70's) that we join them. They had thoroughly enjoyed a previous Viking river cruise (Amsterdam to Budapest) and wanted to take another. My husband and I had never taken a cruise, mostly because we were never enticed by the concept of a-week-at sea-with-4000-of-your-closest-friends. Our trip that started in ...
We just returned about a week ago from a 7 (?) night cruise on the Rhine on the Viking Hild.
Our first trip to Europe. What a wonderful experience.
The ship/cruise director Mathias, is about as good at his job as anyone we've ever seen. Super friendly, upbeat, informative, humorous, fun, etc. ... but so was everyone else. You get the feeling they all like what they do and they all get ...
