The ship was nice and the cabin good size. Shore exertions good. But dining experience was not good. The selection of food not very good. No side dishes at lunch or dinner. Terrace grill Hamburger were like hokey pucks.. Out of bacon in am and staff too lazy to go to kitchen to get more.
On night we sat down at 6:20 and got our entrees at 7:40! Another night whole table ordered clan ...
This cruise, besides highlighting the Revolutionary War, was a Cherry Blossom theme. Since the blossoms were early this year, the itinerary was adjusted to include Washington DC first to be sure to catch their beauty near their peak. There were talks about the history of the cherry blossoms onboard plus excursions, including walking tours, which highlighted the cherry blossoms. All the art ...
We chose this cruise because we had cruised American Cruise Lines previously and had a 5 star experience. Unfortunately this cruise was not even close. This is a very expensive cruise line (about $1,000 a day per person - based on double occupancy) and the passengers are mostly senior citizens. Our boarding experience was chaotic. There was a long boardwalk to the boat with no assistance for ...
Because of covid this cruise was delayed 2 years. I told my husband to get his $ back way back when but he did not. So we took the cruise instead of loosing the $. Sailed from Baltimore April 16, 2022 for 10 days. Four of the ten days I had to go downstairs and complain at 5:30 that our room had not been cleaned. No clean towels. The food was a C+- ate off ship whenever we could. Very old crowd- ...
My wife and I have been on numerous cruises (23+) throughout the world on various cruise lines over the years. This was our first cruise on American Cruise Lines. The Hudson River Cruise started in New York City on October 9, 2021. This was our first trip out of state in 19 months because of COVID 19.
Our flight from Florida arrived a few days early so we could visit friends. We took an ...
Just returned from an American Cruise Line trip on board their ship Constitution. The Hudson River cruise was round trip starting in Manhattan, NY to Albany, NY and return. This was my 5th cruise with ACL. The Constitution is one of ACL's newer vessels built in 2018. It's a beauty! The accommodations were top notch. The public spaces were bright and cheery. On board activities were plentiful and ...
This was our 5th cruise with American Cruise Line and was the most disappointing as far as services provided and the lack of knowledge of the program director, Chelsea. On our tours, there should have been an american cruise personnel on each tour. In fact, on one tour a passenger handed out the lunches! The staff was very disorganized and unavailable.
Our waiter, Kurk was exceptional and ...
We arrived in New York City 5 days prior to the cruise so we could explore the city as we hadn't been back there for almost 15 years. Stayed at Embassy Suites Midtown, great location for walking and taking the subway.
Embarkation was easy and quick. Just dropped off the bags and they had pedi-cabs to take us to the ship around the corner. We had an AC cabin with balcony. Had nice amount of ...
The high point was the personable & prompt staff, the shore excursions & on board entertainment were disappointing. As I'm typing I can hear "Little Deuce Coupe" out my window on Clearwater Beach, don't expect anything like that, lol. It was our 1st time w/this cruise line & we didn't realize they evidentially target an older audience. No Beach Boys or Eagles, just Sinatra & Sammy. No Jeopardy or ...
Although the leaves had not turned yet, the cruise was very enjoyable. The crew was great, the food was quite good, the entertainment was very good (some were better than others) and the excursions were excellent. A tour of Albany, a chairlift ride up Hunter Mountain, a tour of West Point, a walk across the Hudson River on what used to be a railroad bridge, a tour of Hyde Park (Franklin ...
