First time on Royal, it was OK, still enjoyed it tho!
"Overall, we did enjoy the cruise, and Oh, excursions from the ship was ok, one of our excursions only had a small number of people so they used a 24 seat van to transport us, and we were in the last row, and there was no window for us to look out from.One good thing tho, we went to a few places they took us to the day before, since both excursions were similar with the 2nd one including a few more places, so we actually viewed some of the spots already and had a 2nd chance to enjoy it more!..."Read More

Will definitely cruise on this ship again if we have the chance. Embarkation was a breeze we were on board within 30 minutes of port arrival. Disembarkation was also good also around 30 mins after joining cue.

I guess the size of your dividend matters if you hold Princess Cruises shares but the size of the queues matters if you are a passenger on their new giant ships. And I really wonder how much longer the wonderful crews they employ can keep carrying their reputation and where the cruise industry is heading with the number of passengers they are cramming onto their ships.

FOOD
Worst Bacon and Coffee of any cruise ship. Poached eggs came out without and white - just a yolk.
Worst breakfast Service ever - 45 minutes for eggs to arrive. Cold toast turned up 5 minutes later.
It was only an 8 day cruise but repetion of menu wasn't great.
None of these had a huge impact on overall experience. We didn't starve :)

Do not take the cruise to NZ starting and ending in Auckland. We just got back (the 2025 date is for next year obviously). We went 2024 February.
Got to the airport and Princess has organized a taxi. This was extremely awkward as the guy told us how poor he was a lot and we felt we needed to give him a tip ( this was our fault).
Embarkation started around 11am and was efficient.

I would never recommend this cruise ship to anyone. We joined this cruise to celebrate our special wedding anniversary - this is our 7th cruise - but unfortunately its all about money and not passengers. When arriving at the terminal in Sydney it was just under 30deg.C and we couldn't believe the length of the queue. Once inside the terminal (and in the shade), we were faced with further massive queues. Eventually collected our medallions and were ready to join another massive queue.
