We booked the Best of the West Roatan 4.5 hour excursion. It was not nice, the description made it sound like they would bus you to an area for shopping, hiking or the beach with lunch provided. We were taken on a "45 minute"walk that actually ended up being 2 hours. Our group was very slow and challenged on the 8 suspension bridges and mountain path. Ended up having to skip the shopping part so ...
My group of 6 booked an excursion with Christopher Tours that was monkeys, sloths, and snorkeling. Finding the tour was easy getting off the ship, but it was a bit of a walk to eventually get to the taxi. My group was fine, but if you have any mobility issues, it might be a challenge. There were plenty of chairs, and even though we were one of three ships that day, it did not feel crowded somehow. Our guide was excellent and ...
This was my third visit to Roatan. The island is quite small, and if you've been more than once, you probably will run out of things to do although, again, if you like some of the more adventurous options, like "volunteering tourism" or sailing to a more remote island, there are some new things available. Very nice shopping in port. Bought some excellent coffee for friends and a well-made, ...
