We mainly went to see St Petersburg, but the other ports of call were also interesting. We did not look around Southampton as we've been there several times. The embarkation and disembarking were smooth and speedy, we were very impressed, hardly any waiting around involved. The ship seemed a little dark decoration-wise, a lot of dark wood everywhere. The dining experience was fine but not brilliant, the staff are all friendly, courteous and efficient, but the menus were not varied and exciting enough, compared to P&O or Princess. The entertainment was very good and varied, something for everyone.

St Petersburg did not disappoint - so much gold everywhere in their palaces and cathedrals, it was wonderful to see. Our guide was very impressive with her knowledge of her home city, but far too much walking involved in the 2 day tour. Luckily I had one sunny day, but on the rainy day we walked round a beautiful park for 2 and a bit hours getting soaked. And be warned it is one of those cities with toilets incapable of flushing toilet tissue. A good holiday I recommend it.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

First time we've tried an inside cabin, and decided not to our liking. Beds were comfortable and clean, and housekeeping were very efficient and friendly. There was a bad smell in our corridor, which was not remedied although attempts were made to clear it.
