I would like to say that I love Carnival Cruise line and love their ships but this cruise was an all time fail. Had it not been for the wonderful cruise directors, Chris the flying scotsman, and the awesome ports, this would have been one the worse cruises that I have ever taken in my years of cruising.

Ship & Public Areas

First of all the Carnival Vista is a beautiful ship but really has some major design flaws that caused issues on the ship. The ship had issues regulating temperature inside the ship. You would walk from cold to hot and then even hotter. There was no AC on the elevators. The coolest room in the ship was your cabin. I complained a lot about these temperatures. A lot of people on the ship agreed. The ship needs to work on this bad.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8D

This cabin is located midship closer to the front of the ship. It was very convenient to the LIDO deck and the Lido buffet. Its was also close to the stairs and elevators that take you down the lobby and public areas.

The cabin seemed smaller than other carnival ships. Storage was very limited in here for our family of 4. I did like that the TV had a lot of channels and was a 42" flat screen located at the end of the bed. Just an FYI, it had 2 outlets and 2 USB outlets for charging.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Very limited options here. If you like water sports, then this may be the port for you. We did a golf cart to see the island but really found it to be a boring island. Shopping here in this port is very limited.
