We booked this short cruise as it visited Dublin and Liverpool and gave us a taster of cruise and Maritime. We have cruised many times before with many main lines. Embarkation was reasonably smooth. Our cabins were not ready so we were directed to Raffle Bistros for lunch.
Usually on cruises the food is a highlight, but not on this one. The same choice was on 3 islands, and consisted of runny stews, barely cooked sausages, and paper thin pieces of breaded fish. There was a poor selection of salads, vegetables and fruit, and a poor selection of desserts.
This standard continued throughout our cruise. Evening meals in the Waldorf restaurant were a bit better, but portions were small. I sent back my salad each night as I requested no dressing, and the 2nd night I even had the wrong salad!
Cabin was a good size, but could have been cleaner, particularly in the bathroom and shower.
Very pleasant city to walk round, but also used hop on hop off buses to see more.
Trinity college was very interesting to walk around. Unfortunately many museums except the big commercial ones (Guinness Storehouse, Whiskey distillery etc) are closed on a monday when we visited.
