We ended up on the Getaway because we traveled with a group of friends who had already booked. The eight of us had rooms on very close together on the 14 AFT. The ship offered more than enough to do and we all found the staff attentive and friendly. The ports were Roatan, Harvest Key, Costa Maya and Cozumel. Our group disembarked at each port and did some excurstions and some self-guided travel. Harvest Key, Norwegian's private island in Belize, was beautiful and a highlight of the ports.

Embarkation was a bit mad, but we checked in at 11, and boarded by 12:30. While waiting on the rooms we checked out Spice H20 at the back of the ship and Sunset Bar, which became a regular stop for our entire trip. We had dinner reservations each night and tried La Cucina, Moderno and Teppanyaki for ala carte dining. Teppanyaki is a MUST-SEE. Our chef was engaging and made each of us some origami animals to take home.

Our group had a split of ages: 4 in our 30s, 4 in our 50s, and we felt that there were a lot of nightlife options that catered to everyone.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

Clean, orderly cabin. We had a bit of a larger balcony because of the curve of the ship. Very clean, comfortable couch and beds. The room had lots of places to store things.

Port Reviews

Roatan

Probably the most naturally beautiful of the ports and the best ocean.

Cozumel

The most commercial port.
