My boyfriend and I (33 and 28) were looking for a fun, romantic vacation and since we'd never been on a cruise before we were excited to try something new. This specific cruise came highly recommended from friends and now we know why!

Embarkation went very smoothly, we were in a very long line but don't let that fool you. It moved relatively quickly.

The Breakaway was kept very clean! It didn't take us very long to learn our way around the ship and we were rarely bored. Great selections for food and drink! We didn't have a meal we didn't love, but we did have favorites: Cagney's and Moderno Churrascaria. My boyfriend rarely drinks and even he kicked his feet back and found himself a "signature cocktail" for the trip. We would recommend Malt's Beer and Whiskey Bar. All of our waiters, waitresses, bartenders, etc were wonderful. I can't think of one complaint we had about them. We loved the casino and found there was an excellent selection of games and the dealers were great! They taught us how to play craps! The upper decks had great places to lay out and enjoy some sunshine and a book. You could easily place yourself as close to or as far away from the excitement of the slides and pools as you wanted. We saw Rock of Ages and even my boyfriend loved it, but then again who doesn't love Sunset Strip era hairband rock and roll?! Our cabin was a lot bigger than we expected and was kept very clean by our steward. There was a TON of storage space, I didn't even use the over-the-door shoe holder that all blogs recommended I bring for extra storage space.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Excellent size! The pictures online made me quite nervous about storing things, but it was larger than we expected and there were tons of hidden storage spaces. The only time we really felt the boat move was when we were in the bathroom and when we hit some rough water on our trip back.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

When we arrived at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal we were greeted by quite the long line, but it moved quickly and efficiently.

King's Wharf

Everyone was so kind at these ports. FYI, your room card will fly away! I accidentally dropped mine and the wind carried it almost right off the dock! I finally stepped on it and saved it but hang on to those babies!
