Sail Date: May 2017

We needed a break and this cruise looked good for relaxing time at sea and a day in port.

We have recently returned from a four day cruise, beginning May 7th 2017, from Tampa to Cozumel and back on the Empress of the Seas and wish to advise that we were disappointed with the experience. The ship was small in comparison to what we had anticipated and now realise that as such it had limited amenities.

Firstly we had booked an Ocean View room and been assigned room 7650 only to find that we could not see the ocean because of the very large Lifeboat, as show on the enclosed photo.

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean View

Firstly we had booked an Ocean View room and been assigned room 7650 only to find that we could not see the ocean because of the very large Lifeboat, as show on the enclosed photo.

Secondly the cabin was small and had folded up bunk beds at either side of the queen size bed which restricted the access to the bed from either side, and were at such a height that bumping ones head was inevitable. Not what I would call a comfortable experience.

The literature notations and pictures of the cabins we saw before making the booking are definitely not a true representation of what we experienced when we arrived on-board.
