Our ship was the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Sea. This is the second time we went on this ship. The reason we chose this ship both times was it's port of calls. The ship is very nice and the crew very friendly. This is an older ship but they have done many upgrades to the ship. We visited Bonaire and Curacoa for the first time. The other two islands St. Maarten and Aruba we have been to several times and we always enjoy coming back to visit them. Bonaire is under developed but is still nice to see. We rented golf carts and toured the island on our own. The people who rented the golf carts were very nice. Great way to see the island.

Curacoa was a surprise. It was very nice and developed. The tour of the Curacoa distillery was nice and the beach day was fun. I wish we had more time to see the downtown area.

Aruba is very nice. We've been here several times and always enjoy the island. Our excursion to see highlights of the island and Palm Beach was a lot of fun. The Kookoo Kanukoo bus tour was fantastic and our driver/tour guide was hilarious. He really made the tour an experience to remember.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Very nicely decorated. I have two complaints about the cabin experience. Our bed was very uncomfortable. It was like a mattress on top of a sheet of plywood. This is the only time we experienced this. Past cruises were very comfortable. They need to upgrade the mattresses. The television cable selections were very poor. Too many channels in Spanish and the news stations to choose from were very poor. We also had problems viewing our billing on the TV. We had to use two remotes to be able to use this function. Sitting out on the balcony was very relaxing.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Very nice. Downtown was very convenient to get to. We took a water taxi from the boat to the shore. Easy to walk around town and many shops to visit.

Bonaire

We rented golf carts and toured the island on our own. We visited the salt flats and other area highlights which were very nice. Bonaire is not very developed like the other islands but still is very nice to see.
