It was with trepidation after reading all the negative reviews about this ship, that we embarked in Rome. Whether we were just very lucky I don't know but I could not fault the food (and we do like good food) the staff were all polite and helpful. Our Stateroom Attendant Mario (7049) was the best we have ever had on 13 cruises. Joseph and Sue in the Dining Room amazing and also the Restaurant Manager.

The cabin was fine - bathroom nice size - ok maybe the soft furnishings could do with replacing and whether this happens while it is in dry dock at the moment I am not sure. Tuscan Grille was ok with amazing steaks. Not as friendly as the main dining room and our lovely Team. It is sad to think Oceanliners restaurant is going and to be replaced by Quisine which we have never really liked on the other Celebrity ships. We had lunch in Oceanliners and it is a beautiful dining room.

All in all this was a lovely cruise. Many parts of the ship were lovely and again maybe some areas could do with a little upgrade. The sun beds are very basic - Azamara are probably the best we have ever had. Please don't be put off by some of the really dreadful reviews. They are simply not true or some people go out just to find fault. Our last day in Barcelona was a nightmare due to noise in the port from a ship opposite which was a cargo ship of some sort and the noise from 5 a.m. in the morning for 24 hours terrible. Not Celebrity's fault I suppose but maybe they should look into this before docking. It was quite unacceptable and spoilt the last day.

Cabin 2A

Kept very clean by Mario and nothing too much trouble. Maybe settee and soft furnishings could do with an upgrade but otherwise comfortable with a larger balcony a bus.
