As with all of my reviews, I do not review the ports or the itinerary because my wife and I cruise with the ship as our destination. We do not care about ports, do not do excursions and sometimes, do not get off the ship. We only care about what the ship is like. If it went out and just sailed around the ocean for a week or more and then came back to it's home port, that would be fine with us. I put in this disclaimer because I am aware that for some people the itinerary is VERY important and can only advise that if that is what you are looking for, you need to check another review where the reviewer also is into the ports of call.

STATEROOM: We had an oceanview window stateroom, no balcony, which is our usual stateroom of choice. It was a little smaller than oceanview staterooms we have had on other RCCL ships but was ample for our needs. Our room steward was terrific. I do not recall ever having a bad room steward in the 15 cruises we have taken so far. The bed was comfortable. One of the disappointing features, however, was the mini-fridge in our room turned out to not be a refrigerator. It looked like a refrigerator. It had a sign on it that said minimum temperature 55 degrees. It NEVER got even a little bit cold. We brought our own soda pop to put in it and it remained warm. When we talked to our room steward about it, he explained it was a "cooler", like an ice chest. You had to put ice in it to cool it. That was a first for us.

The thermostat in the room kept the temperature to our liking. The air conditioning cooled the room very well when we wanted it cold and the heat would warm it up when we wanted it hot. I like it very cool at night when I am trying to sleep. Most thermostats on ships do not get it cool enough for me. This one did. My wife likes it very warm in the mornings. She would flip the thermostat to warm when we got up and it quickly heated the room.
