Sail Date: May 2017

We have travelled three times of the Pacific Jewel in the last 18 months. It is a ship that is 27 years on the seas but well maintained both in the public areas and cabins.

It is not the Celebrity Solstice or the Royal Carribean Ovation of the Seas nor does it have the extras as we call them. It is a basic ship with limited features but it does have something that draws us back to her time again and that is the dedicated staff. There are teams of people that make the voyage a wonderful experience.

We were drawn to this particular cruise because of the price, $329 for a four night cruise to Moreton Island is a bargain.

Cabin Review

Cabin IB

We found this ocean view cabin was spacious, it was clean, it was well maintained. There was lots of storage space. It had the advantage that it was very close to the back lifts which brought you to the middle of the pantry. You were one floor down from the main dining room and except for the evening meal time, the lifts were quite fast and frequent, you could get a lift quickly to the pool deck via the pantry.

When there was entertainment in the atrium, you were far away from the noise and it was a really quite part of the ship.
