We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. We wanted a cruise that included Malta, Dubrovnik and Venice. We liked the fact that many items like some drinks, gratuities were included in the cruise price. Destination Immersion is one of their tag lines and I think it shows. We were able to get closer to many destinations than larger ships. Shuttles were offered in some ports which made it easier to venture on our own. They understand that a lot of their passengers prefer to set out independently and made a local expert with maps available at each port. The food on the ship also mirrored the destination each evening with a variety of dishes. We've sailed with a number of cruise companies and this was by far the best food we've had on any ship. We didn't even bother with the specialty restaurants because the dining room selections were so good. The ship is a little older but the size of the ship made it a better cruise. The room was a reasonable size with a very comfortable bed. The only downsides of our trip were our room was on deck 4 near the anchors and it made for a lot of early morning noise in ports where we were tendering. There was not a ton of things to do when on the ship but I'll take this above a mega ship where the service isn't nearly as good.

Cabin Review

Club Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin 04

There was ample size in the main living space. Our Oceanview room had a nice sized window so it provided a lot of light into the room. The shower was on the small side but the bed was very comfortable.

Port Reviews

Positano (Amalfi)

We were unable to tender on Amalfi due to strong swells. We rerouted to Salerno. It was nice but definitely not Amalfi.

Malta (Valletta)

We booked an on/off bus for a drive around the island. It was a local company. If I had to do it again I would choose the City Sightseeing Bus. The local buses were old and the headphone jacks didn't work very well. The best stop was Mdina. It was a really cool walled city and we were lucky enough to see a Renaissance Festival there.

Dubrovnik

We walked the city wall on our own for about 20 euro each. Fantastic views. We then walked around and settled in a lovely wine bar to try some local wines. This city has a great vibe. We want to go again.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We stayed in extra day in Rome to wander on our own. We used the Rome Big Bus to get a quick loop of the city and used it for transportation around the city. Although we didn't use it much because we were centrally located and walked to many attractions.

Corfu

We did an on/off bus here. We toured around on foot as well. It was a holiday the day we went so there wasn't much to do.
