Due to Cyclone Winston, our itinerary changed multiple times and we ended up missing Mystery Island and headed to Brisbane instead. We did manage to visit Isle of Pines and Noumea. The captain kept everyone informed and had a number of contingency plans based on the route of the cyclone.
My cabin was excellent. It was one of the new Panoramic ocean view cabins on deck 12. Very spacious for one person. Obviously they would normally fit at least 4 into it so I enjoyed the space. The bathroom was tiny but functional and I liked the cocoon style shower screen and it didn't leak. Water pressure was weak but hot at all times.
Food was average in both the dining room and the buffet. The buffet food never seemed to change and so it got a tad boring. I did enjoy the make-your-own salad in the dining room at lunch times. I'm a vegetarian so it wasn't worth paying extra for any specialty restaurants so I didn't go to any of them. I took the Royal Replenish coffee & soft drinks package but at $28 a day, I did struggle to get my monies worth. Not sure if I would get this package again.
My cabin was excellent. It was one of the new Panoramic ocean view cabins on deck 12, port side. Very spacious for one person. It can fit 4 people as it has a big sofa bed. With the floor to ceiling windows, it has a great view and loads of light. Small functional bathroom and a cocoon style shower that doesn't leak. Because it's right at the front of the ship, there is movement and it is noticeable.
